How Global Are Palestinian Liberation Organizations?
This question is provoked by a discussion of George W. Bush's declaration of war against terrorism of "global reach" which he delivered before both houses of Congress on September 20th, 2001.
So the question is posed in this open thread:
Should Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Hezbollah be considered as terrorists of global reach?
I am asking for this thread be post-dated from time to time, as frequently as there is a contribution, so as to keep it close to the top.

Apparently Hez is not global enough for the Prez.
Intelligence chief John Negroponte has to plant the seed of al Qaeda in our American minds. He says Abu Musab al-Zarqawi
". . . . talked about the priority attached to being successful in Iraq so it could then be used as a platform to extend their activities into the Levant, meaning Jordan, Syria and Lebanon," Negroponte told Reuters and the International Herald Tribune in an interview on Friday.
It's not clear to me whether or not they've got a basis for successful activity in Lebanon, since the stronger Muslim sect in Lebanon is Shia. But I wouldn't rule that out. And there's been some evidence of al Qaeda activity in Lebanon."
Of course he did not elaborate.
